Dark cloud has befallen Zambia

it all started with a dream...everyone thought he had never make the presidency sit but he dreamed on and achieved it. He was what I can say a champion.  He always got back up when we all thought he could not. He reached his goal.
to a Tenacious Man, a Gallant Man
A Dreamer, An achiever, a voice to the voiceless. I celebrate you.
He did the impossible, he was a people person, I mean who can ride on a common mini bus as a president. He had his way of reaching out to the people and ensuring we were heard.
We shall surely miss you Father of the Nations.
my Condolences and sympathy to the Sata Family and the Nation at large
MHSRIP
God blessed him with the presidency and he has run the race.
Goodbye till we meet again His Excellency

THE CLEAN UP

so I get to the office and I here we are essential workers, that means no half day for us..arrgg... was looking forward to knocking off early today. Then as am wallowing in self pity, I here noises outside, traffic begins to build as cars swerve to the sidewalks clearing the mid apart. This is like 07:00 am. yea I know I get to the office like really early to try as much as possible finish some work before 08:00am when it gets all crazy with clients.
out of curiosity I step outside, and see a lot of people with brooms marching on the middle of the road, telling cars to go to the side, its a riot its a riot someone screams from the other side of Cairo road, then i thought what are political cadres up to this time. But alas, they have been employed with cleaning up the city.
as we all know, today is the eve of Zambia's independence and the streets are all colourful with people wearing, black, orange, green, red and copper mixtures. quiet a spectacle i must say.
this is what am wearing to celebrate My Zambia, My Independence

and,
this is what the streets of Cairo road looked like today

everyone was now using their brooms and they cleaned every corner of the city. it looks great almost sparkling.
this reminds me of the time we were kids, how we were always told to clean the house to the extra ordinary when visitors were coming. we would all get busy and you know what they say first impressions last long. I guess its the same thing with today, clean up and make the country look beautiful as tomorrow will celebrate 50 years of independence. even the street vendors are all gone, chased from the streets. but I think at 50 years this should be our daily routine, to ensure that we keep the city with that sparkle all the time not just one day as every day is a celebration. I love how the streets are looking today. :-)

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DARLINGS
