the cookie story

they were heart shaped, crunches with a touch of coconut. God knows I looked forward to tea time at 16. even though I had a flu they made me feel the need for time and these I could test.
baking is something I love to do during weekends and I make sure have some ginger biscuits ready for the kids home...they love these and would finish them before it was even Monday. but when I went on a vacation,  like always I endeavor to learn something new in my adventures. so I stumbled upon the coconut chocolate chip cookies I was saved on my vacation. Now these cookies were just testy but made you feel at home in a far land knowing when you get there, there will be cookies waiting for you there. boy did I want the day to end so I could go to the warm welcome by the people and ahhh then the cookies came and tea. conversation while music played.
I know you should be thinking hmmm girl loves eating, but for me it taught me the beauty of hospitality, I mean just try saving a cookie or two to you visitors and you will have them looking forward to coming to your house, it says hai, you are welcome in my home please feel at home as you munch on some cookies or be that which you have prepared. it just tells someone the heart that you have and that you welcoming all that need to come to you house.
but most importantly it reminds me of a story in the Bible, the story of the woman with the last bit of flour and oil but when a man of God came through she made bread for him with the last bit that remained. but low and behold immediately she saved that, her flour bin was filled up and olive oil over flowing (1Kings 17:1-16). when you give with all your heart, God will give you back a 10 fold what you have given. giving says am clearing my basket so it can be filled some more and I give more. we are blessed in order to bless others too. so even as you welcome those victors into your homes, here is a cookie recipe that will say welcome to my home and  please do come again to my warm house.
