Drunken People

The noise of words flaring from one point to the other

The sounds that resemble that of a firework

The joy filled in their eyes tells a story
The drum beats, the dance and the funky walk just knowing all is well

The build between strangers so strong feels like it’s a forever friendship

The Bright colours, like a sun’s rays, beautiful colours or green, black, red and orange you will see in their eyes, makes one’s blood rush.

The drunkenness of a freedom fighter, The hunger in his Heart, is that like of an alcohol addict, The drive is so intense such that he shall do anything to get that which feeds his emotion and keeps it in check.

The Year 1964 gives such a drunken scenario, showing a people hungry for a free nation, a freedom to be able to buy food by going to a shop through the door.

Indeed it is such a jubilee, 50 years Mother Zambia, 50 years of drunkenness towards a poverty free nations, 50 years of growing and developing the nation, 50 years of individual freedom as a Zambian, freedom to trade, freedom to move from one place to the other, 50 years of Christianity and putting God first.

Indeed praise be, to God, for he has blessed our nation with freedom of peace, for Free men we stand, in politics in economy and in developing our nations. 50 years of Independence calls for a better Zambia, a developed, an independent Zambia. What are you doing about to enhance development as a Zambian?

Let’s reflect and see that even as we are independent as a country we are independent as individuals and help build and even better Zambia.
Looking forward to the cultural festivities, celebrating 50 years of independence, The days are moving and counting, soon it shall be the 24 of October, I hear the jubilation already, the laughter and the happy independence greeting between strangers, reminding us that in need we are one and we have won the freedom fight and that together we can, together we are able,  together we shall and together we are drunken people for a better Zambia, a corrupt free Zambia, a People driven Zambia and a productive Zambia, that effects more export for the benefit of our children.

This year of Celebration may the connection of freedom remain in us and that drive for a better Zambia. The independence of the mind in us should reflect in our country, may we be hungry for initiating factories that create products for the world at large; to be a land linked country in all trade, industry and labour. Just like our fore fathers saw it fit, to unite and plan for a free Zambia, to shed blood so you and I would live better lives, so should we filled with such drunkenness for a better economy.

Happy 50 years my darling fellow Zambians

SUMMER MADNESS!!!!!!!

The rainbow touch, as the rays shine through my window, to my skin in the morning.

That awesome feeling of vitamin D never running out as it’s in constant supply all day.

The cool water of swimming pools callingJ,

The flowers looking bright, the bees singing in the air as the buds open wide.

Yahoo, its summer alright, how I love and look forward to summer, almost wish I had take a summer holiday and be on some island enjoying the sun.

But today am here to bring to you my readers the SUMMER FASHION and which looks to rock this summer.

One very important thing though is to keep hydrated, the sun is beautiful but it is also dehydrating. Try by all means to take 2liters of water a day or more, if you are up and about, should help keep the headaches away.

Sunglasses are a must have this summer season, they will not only make you look awesome but will protect yours and my eyes as we sun bask from the excessive rays of the sun.

Oh how I love hats, I have them in different colours I must admit. *hides face*. They will protect my face from the sun’s heat and thus helping keep the skin on my face from sun burns and healthy too. One other thing that will protect the skin and keep it healthy this summer is sunscreen.

The only problem with summer is no matter what you wear, you still feel hot, but gladiator sandals, sweetheart neckline dresses and tops should help with fresh air to our bodies.

If you are like me who does not very much like to leave my legs bare during summer, then the maxi dresses and skirts coupled with jeans should come in hand this summer.

For hair, cornrows are the best way to go as they let in fresh air as compared to weaves. For this summer I am just rocking my natural hair, but remember to keep it moisturised as well. Coconut oil helps and for a deep moisturiser after a wash, a mixture of egg, Mayonnaise, and olive oil will help give your hair that shine and oil balance. Just leave it on for about 45 minutes then rinse it off.

Remember summer is colourful, so rock them colours and be summer-ious .

UMWANAKASHI

UMWANAKASHI(a woman)

wake up at 4-5am to make sure food is ready and house cleaned. That’s a perfect definition of an African woman.
When Mum goes to visit at the village she is always telling of stories about how they had to chop down some firewood draw water from the well and make sure the food is ready by the time the men will awake. Even the field work is left much to the women to tender.

Who is a woman? That question always runs across my mind. A woman is human, is one definition i got. To be a woman entails being able to do anything a man can do even in heels lol. However to be a woman means to be able to empower, build, encourage inspire and most of all not to forget about yourself.

A virtuous woman on the other hand is described in proverbs 31.

Women are made and created for a special purpose. It’s just about knowing which purpose you been made for. Most of the time we try to look down on the women that do some things differently, If only we could support each other’s purpose we had build a very beautiful environment.

To be a woman is a blessing,To care for others the way a woman does is divine,
To be able to cry because you are happy is selfless and many mistake that for weakness.
A woman’s touch turns everything into Gold…
It just seems to take all else away and a perfect way, to express that it will be okay
and when a woman loves  nothing can ever change that…

The brilliance of how she does things is impeccable.  She is a multitasked creation, makes sure all is ready in the time it’s needed.
Today I just wanted to celebrate these two woman in my life, My mum Dairine Nachali and Yuyo Nachali Kambikambi, they are strong, loving, kind, inspirational and most of all God fearing. Love you to bits.

As the saying goes it takes a village to raise a child and I am grateful to all other women and Men not mentioned for the hand in building and raising me to be the woman I have grown to Be.
