CATS AND DOGS

I must admit how much of an animal person I am. from Dogs to cats, to snake and Horse name it.

so my boyfriend and I were chatting about cats and he mentioned how peculiar they can be. I have grown up around Cats, well the domestic cat that is, but it would not be a bad idea to have a jaguar for a pet, its beautiful, the black silky smooth feeling of its far, the hazel or gold eyes and how high headed it will walk. it leaves you in awe of God's creation and also teaches you that you are beautiful just the way you are. it walks with such majesty like its the only one in the world.

isn't she a beauty. I always wondered why cat would see in the dark, maybe that is the reason most Africans associate them with witchcraft, but hey people will be superstitious anyway.

Cats' nocturnal vision is far superior to that of humans, however  its false to say they can see in total darkness. They can see clearly with only one-sixth of the illumination we need to see, so when you're trying to read  at twilight, ask your cat for help!  This is so because In the feline, the muscles of the iris surrounding the pupils are constructed in a fashion that allows the eye to narrow to a vertical slit in bright light and to open fully in very dim light, to allow a maximum of illumination. 

In addition, a reflective layer behind the cat's retina called the tapetum lucidum reflects incoming light and bounces it back off the cones, making more use of the existing light. The tapetum is probably responsible for the fact that when a small amount of light hits a cat's eyes at night, you see shiny green orbs.(Kachingyyyyyy)

My boyfriend calls the cat that lives near him a person. i laughed out loud when I heard this, mentioned how the cat knocked on the door and also tried to open if the door was semi-closed its easy for any cat to push and enter. but what struck him the most was when it went and used the toilet...well not the bow per se but the floor of the toilet and then to make matters worse it went and jumped to go outside from the window where the kitchen sink is. In his mind this registered as it washing its hands after using the toilet. I think that would just totally freak anyone out
But cats just like dogs are trainable, therefore, if you want the cat to be going outside on the grass to pee or poop, all you have to do is show it and you will never have to endure the stench that comes from a cats pee. one must also know that cats are very clean creatures and they will not leave their poo in the open where all can see, careful if you do not teach the, they will find anywhere they can bury in the house.

Cats have flexible bodies, quick reflexes, sharp retractable claws, and teeth adapted to killing small prey. Cats can hear sounds too faint or too high in frequency  for human ears, such as those made by mice and other small animals.

they are fun to be around...the see a red dot and they chase it, they just put a smile on someone's face. They can even Tell when someone does not like them, I can say they are social species really.  They love wool and cushions,  I always have to chase mine from my room as it loves to cuddle up right on my pillows and well it either i will find my pillow wet or with fur.


so if you looking for a pet to adopt think of a cat, it will not bother you when you have fed it as cats sleep almost the whole day. Some sleep about 20 hours a day and thus leaving 4 hours for play.

its a busy world we live in. a turn to the right and a person is on there Nano, Blackberry or ipad.
These days we even call each other for dinner using our Cell phone.*hey dinner is ready* because this is what today's world has become.
 But no today am not here to talk about that, I am here to talk about the latest Gadget the iphone 6.

 we all know that Apple has had many iphones come out some of which we didn't even understand the difference. well I didn't. But news has it that between September 2014 and April 2015 , Apple has two iphones coming out which it has named iphone air and iphone 6.
First things first let's talk about screen size. Expect bigger from the iPhone 6, that's for sure.It's widely expected that the iPhone 6 will have a 4.7in display and its also  possible that the iPhone 6's display could have a pixel density of up to 538ppi. which means better pictures. if these rumours are true then am excited to have this iphone 6 has one of my number one gadgets aside from my number one Nokia lumia 520
The iphone 6 is expected to be lighter than the iphone 5s which makes it even more portable. now if you are like me then this phone is the one for you, the lighter a phone the better for as I don't get to drop it much. and thus it should also be less likely to scratch, crack or shatter.  Whoop Whoop !!

finally there might be a touch screen phone that will not crack easily that's the hustle most of us feared about touch sensitive phones, once it drops then one has a whole new bill of having to fix in a whole new and expensive screen. apparently, it is rumoured that Apple will use super-durable sapphire glass for the display, combined with lightweight and strong Liquid metal, which Apple has exclusive rights to use.
 This is the reason I decided to feature this possibly soon to be new gadget on my blog. I have heard how people fear for their breaking of their screens but this might be a solution from Apple to you and I. very excited for its lunch.

further, you can also expect significantly improved internal specs. The iPhone 5s has a powerful A7 processor, so we're expecting an even better A8 processor in the iPhone 6.
We've heard rumours about a bigger and better battery in the iPhone 6, but some of that extra power could be used up by the iPhone 6's bigger display but hey we all know if you have a smart phone, always carry your charger with you everywhere.
Other additions that we could see in the iPhone 6 include wireless charging, an NFC chip, 802.11ac WiFi and a new 128GB option, none of which are available in the other iphones.

ONE NEVER REALLY KNOWS WHATS ON THE OTHER END OF THE NETWORK
With the growing number of social networks, its a place to mingle and meet new people my friend whispered to me. in the back of my mind I was like...'hmmm... I think the physical presence makes more sense for meeting someone for me'. I like to read people's non verbal queues to really know what there are saying.
 So my friend met this guy, first he starts off but telling on how much money he makes and how he wants to travel the world. he is quiet a charmer, as I decided to add him and do my own survey on him. he said he loved and well he said that to me as well. told of how he is living a swell life in the diaspora as if to get me interested.
Then all the sudden, he says he will be losing his job month end and will not have anywhere to stay. this is a guy who says he has worked for the army and has invested in a lot of stuff. well my investigation proved well as they say lies always have a way of coming back to you. asked him about saving and all he could say was life where he is is expensive and thus could not afford to save.
so he asked to come and stay with me. my face turned red with anger as this is the same story he told my friend.

further investigations proved us right when we found out he had come to live with a girl who would pay all his bills believing it was love and of course he added a lot of lies to make her believe he was looking for a job and business venture. but six months down the line he was just gaining weight on her salary.
 The social media is the greatest invention  that has ever been made, however we have to learn to use it well for growing our knowledge and even finances.  We have to be careful who we let into our circles as it can either be Cinderella story or a death penalty.
I mean I have seen people who have met on social media and there are living their Cinderella story while I have also read about people who have been killed because they trusted someone they met on social media too much.

Meeting new people on social media can be quiet exciting, but I always say it better you stick to the circles you know,  If you too trusting or at least don't go meeting people you are not sure about. If you have to meet them don't let them near your homes, do it in a public place and book your own cab and DO NOT LET them get you open drinks...we live in a world with different people and some of them are very dangerous while other just want to live off of someone.
As women we need to guard ourselves from such vices because sometimes we do tend to fall for sweet empty nothings

Masquarade..Dance or what????

oh that one sees is the dust, rising up and almost touching the clouds, the noise is so intense and loud it attracts but even the smallest child in the house.

I never thought I had witness such dance, such movement, it makes one wonder how it is that a voluminous individual would stand on a thin stick and still be able to move with such velocity, Its amazing.

  when I moved to the area am staying now, one Sunday I took a walk and I just saw kids running with such speed from all directions and the elderly. it attract me I wondered what in heaven was happening so I tagged along and what a joy I saw on the kids faces.

The gule wa mukula (masquerade dancers), were dancing and entertaining the masses. this was a great idea.  someone came up with the idea of Sunday entertainment, every Sunday, the masquerades dance, and children will be waiting even, until it starts.

 I know in Africa we tend to avoid such because of the spiritualism behind it, but it kept them kids entered the whole Sunday and this means having them stay away from other unruly activities as Sunday isn't a school day.
This is nice recreation and it teaches the kids a part of their culture they tend to forget. it helps them identify where they come from and how they have evolved and thus enabling them to became a better people.

Dance is art and this is a part of art that should be embraced by all of us
have learnt to embrace all dance because they tell a different story and surely help one connect to the world at large…it helps us understand a particular time and place. The Salsa for example tells a happy story full of fun and cheer and the African masquerade gives us a glimpse of what social entertainment was for our ancestors.

The Aurora of Dance is beautiful if you really follow through be it masquerade or not...
